Who I Am
Hi, I’m Max Price (they/them). As a queer and neurodivergent leader, I’ve spent the past 15+ years immersed in community work, youth support, and social enterprise management, always with the goal of making spaces more inclusive and empowering for those who often go unheard. My work has taken me through the highs and lows of social impact work - from navigating austerity and the global pandemic to overcoming the ever-present challenges of today’s cost of living crisis. Through it all, I’ve helped lead and sustain an organisations that makes a difference in the lives of others.
I co-founded Proud2Be CIC, a queer-led non-profit, with my twin sister Maya in 2011, and we’ve secured over £1 million in funding to create impactful programmes and events. But beyond the statistics, it’s the personal connections that drive me - seeing individuals and organisations grow stronger, more resilient, and more inclusive every day.
As someone who is neurodivergent, I know what it feels like to navigate systems that weren't designed with people like us in mind. That’s why I’m passionate about coaching queer, neurodivergent leaders and organisations that want to foster supportive, inclusive environments without burning out in the process. Whether it's through leadership coaching, strategic planning, or workplace culture development, I’m here to support leaders and teams in overcoming challenges like burnout, imposter syndrome, and self-doubt, all while staying true to their core values and vision.
My Journey
Co-Founder & Co-CEO of Proud2Be CIC (2011 – Present)
We’ve built Proud2Be into a resilient, impactful community-based organisation, securing over £1 million in grant funding and navigating multiple crises along the way. Our work in LGBTQIA+ inclusivity, especially within the non-profit and social enterprise sectors, has allowed me to help shape policy, lead training initiatives, and foster communities where people can truly feel proud of who they are.Co-Founder and Director of Totnes Pride (2012 – 2022)
From a small rural town to a major annual event, Totnes Pride has amplified LGBTQIA+ visibility, fostered inclusivity, and provided a platform for local queer voices. I oversaw everything from logistics and marketing to building strong community partnerships.Leadership & Mentoring Experience
My expertise in leadership development, strategic alignment, and team cohesion has been honed through years of co-leading a social enterprise, running impactful workshops, and mentoring individuals. I support leaders in staying grounded while navigating the pressures of leadership, and I’m passionate about creating spaces where others can flourish.
